Over the past month, we invited our community to take part in a friendly design challenge — to create an alternative logo for LocalMotive.org.uk that reflects the spirit of our arts and community space in Mytholmroyd. The response was incredible, with dozens of entries ranging from hand-drawn sketches to polished digital art.
Today, we’re thrilled to announce the winning design!

This charming, illustrative design beautifully captures the essence of our project — community-led, rooted in local heritage, and full of creative energy. The depiction of a stylised railway station nestled among greenery, with the iconic Mytholmroyd viaduct arch, gives a friendly nod to our home’s history while looking ahead to its future.
We loved how this logo manages to feel both professional and personal — just like the space we’re building together.
